FAQs

Q:  Am I required to judge 7 minutes of EACH project?
A:  Projects may vary in length depending on the purpose of the project.  Judging teams may choose to view as much of a project as will assist them with scoring, however, it is suggested that they should be able to complete their scoring before the first 7 minutes have elapsed for any project.

Q:  Where do I enter Web 2.0 projects such as:  Kerpoof, Flickr, Voki, Animoto, Prezi, Glogster?
A:  Sponsors should work with students to determine the appropriate production type based on the information here.  The list below is not comprehensive, but includes Web 2.0 tools that have been asked about frequently.  Sponsors may contact us if they still need assistance.
PLEASE LIST ALL SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE USED TO CREATE YOUR PROJECT IN YOUR REGISTRATION.

Q:  Can I submit a Video Podcast?
A:
Video podcasts are not eligible for participation at the State level of competition.  However, audio podcasts are still permitted.

Q:  When will System representatives be able to pick up projects on Festival Day?
A:
Projects will be available for pick-up beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Festival Day.  Please adjust your travel plans accordingly.
